Peony Ceramics Product Care & General Information

Yes! Every Peony Ceramics piece is 100% handmade. From selecting the clay, wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, painting, to firing, every step is meticulously completed by the same artist.

Absolutely. Our ceramics are fired at a high temperature of 1300°C and use underglaze techniques, ensuring no lead or cadmium leaches out. They are completely food-safe.

While our ceramics are high-temperature fired, we do not recommend using them in a microwave or oven for best results.

We recommend hand washing with simple water or warm water. The glaze is dense and durable, so no complicated cleaning is necessary.

Our ceramics are strong but, like any fine porcelain, can break when struck against hard surfaces. Please handle with care.

Before first use, soak your new cup in rice water for 30 minutes and rinse it with clean water. For stains like coffee or tea, gently scrub with toothpaste or baking soda using a soft brush. Never use abrasive materials as they can scratch the surface!

We’re sorry if you’re not 100% satisfied. We accept returns within 30 days only for quality issues, and we offer free returns in such cases. Please contact us for any return or exchange inquiries


It’ll take our warehouse up to two weeks to receive and process your return. And we’ll be sure to send a refund notification email as soon as we’ve issued your refund!

Shipping & Recent Orders

All Peony Ceramics items are securely packaged and shipped from Jingdezhen, China. We partner with trusted international logistics providers such as EMS, YunExpress, or DHL, and the final leg of delivery may be handled by your local postal service (such as USPS in the U.S.).

Sometimes, USPS may scan a package as “Delivered” before it has physically arrived. Please wait 24–48 hours. In the meantime, we recommend checking with neighbors, building managers, or your local post office. If you still haven’t received it after 48 hours, please contact us.

Standard international delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your location and customs clearance speed. Please check about-shipping

A business day is Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays (both in China and the destination country). Shipping and processing times are always calculated based on business days.

Once your order is processed and dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track the shipment in real-time.

Tracking numbers may take 1–3 business days to become active, especially during weekends or holidays. If your tracking hasn’t updated after 4 business days, please reach out to us so we can follow up with the courier on your behalf.
